Cultural Exchange

The United States Federation of UNESCO Clubs, Centers and Associations supports many different programs to promote cultural awareness, understanding and exchange. Our focus through these programs is to advance knowledge, standards and intellectual cooperation in order to protect, safeguard and manage the tangible and intangible heritage. This is done in order to promote the diversity of cultural expressions and the dialogue of cultures with a view to fostering a culture of peace through many programs including student and teacher exchanges, sister schools and universities, sister cities and other special projects.

Training Programs

Training also has a role in UNESCO Clubs. Clubs do not provide training for their members alone; they also seek to contribute to the education of those around them. This can involve self-education of its members through their participation in its activities, participation in conferences, especially in those dealing specifically with matters relating to UNESCO Clubs, participating in information seminars designed for members of National Commissions in various regions or even studying basic UN and UNESCO documents such as the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the Constitution of UNESCO.
